So, I'm on Team Obama now.
I made that decision literally 5 minutes before I walked in the United Church of Christ (how ironic) where I was to vote in the primary election last Tuesday. Hilary RC had slowly been moving her way out of my favor for about a month, but I never expected myself to jump ship. Seriously.
I still like my girl Hil, and would dance at the party if she gets the nomination, but something just attracted me to Obama. I think it was that he voted against the war from the beginning. I was also against it all along, and never bought into the WMD bullshit that everyone was throwing around 4 years ago.
Maybe I just decided we need someone totally new to the White House. We had 8 years of someone whose father had been there. Perhaps subconsciencely I had an issue with the fact that Hilary had already lived there. Who knows why I make the choices I make.
Anyway.....I am happy with my new team. Its raising a lot of money very quickly. Obama had a great showing yesterday in the 3 state primaries. And, it looks like it will be McCain from the Red side. I think I will enjoy watching Obama take on that crusty old war mongor in a debate. It will probably be entertaining. I hope McCain's combover falls to the side and hangs a little on National T.V.
Thank God (again how ironic) Romney's out. I know a lot of Blue staters didn't think that was a good thing, because McCain might be harder to beat with his "very liberal for a conservative" views, especially on social policy, but I really didn't like the Mormons' main man, and am happy he packed up his tent and went home.
Also, you know what else I am enjoying??? Ann Coulter. There I said it. I know no one who knows me would ever hear me say that I am enjoying anything about Ann Coulter, but since its probably going to be McCain, does that mean she is going to be on Team Hilary like she promised???
(Backstory: Super Conservative and outspoken radio host Ann Coulter - picture a female version of Rush Limbaugh - said awhile back that she was going to vote for Hilary if McCain got the nomination)
Let the super exciting election season keep on keepin' on. And I thought I would be bored when football ended. Ha!
