O.K.
So I know that Obama has gotten a lot of support (Oprah, a lot of celebrities) and I want to preface this by saying that I do like him (not as much as Clinton) , and would not object to his getting the democratic nomination, but seriously.......
How in the world did he get 55% of the democratic votes in the South Carolina primary? That is out of control. I understand that Edwards was pretty much out of it, so it wasn't going to be a 3 way tie or anything, and I had a feeling Obama was going to win, but I never expected him to bat over .500.
My girl, Hil, better take this as a big wake up call for next Tuesday. I don't think even a crying session on National TV will make up for this loss.
So, the Kennedys.....
I do not even know where to file this. Caroline Kennedy - the only remaining spawn of JFK actually compared Obama to her father!
Here's the quote from the New York Times:
"On Sunday, Caroline Kennedy endorsed Obama, saying he could inspire people like her charismatic father did."
Ted and Patrick are endorsing Obama also. Hil did get Bobby Jr., his sister Kerry, and Kathleen Kennedy Townsend...but not that I am discounted those members of the Ked Klan, but Ted and Caroline are the heavy national hitters.
I'm just surprised. Oh well. There are a lot of primaries to go yet. Its gearing up for a great election season. I am already getting excited!!!!

I think that in combination with the African American community, many young people see him as a change from "politics" as we know it. I think, actually, that the fact that he is so new to politics is actually working in his favor, as opposed to being viewed as a bad thing, because he doesn't seem as jaded as other politicians.
